Is there any kind of reasoning behind this:

Why are their clothes/hats all so oversized? If they were better fitting there would be less empty space around the medals so they'd look even more "impressive" and the men wouldn't look so midget-like.

One size fits all - maybe they are all tailored to fit fat boy

Matey at the front looks like he's doing the Huggy Bear swagger

I think it's a Communist thing. The Soviets look equally crap.

The Nazis had Hugo Boss help out with their uniforms hence why the murderous bds always looked smart.

But the winner of taking the uniform too far is still Idi Amin.

Edit for a grammar offence involving an apostrophe.

It's interesting that all these different countries around the world have chosen to adopt Western military dress uniform, considering that a lot of them are actually opposed to Western values.

I think they have all found themselves living in a shotgun shack. With a beautiful wife.

They have also probably all asked themselves 'How did I get here'?

But you wouldn't want to be the one to tell him, would you? He was OTT but intimidating. The Koreans just look silly.

The GDR nailed it, to be fair.

Definitely a cut above the usual Commie uniform.

It's like McDonalds - none of the uniforms fit but if you get enough stars you get the "General of the month" award.

The generals' uniforms are obviously consciously designed to:

a) make the wearer look bigger, taller, and thus more important;
b) easy to wear and move around in;
c) look as un-Western as possible within the norms of military design.

Probably hoping the anti-aircraft shells used regularly in their execution will miss the body.

Nah, they earned them in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme...

I saw one getting his Sheep Shagging Badge in Wales.
