Good evening all
This is not a cheery opening posting but here we go. I have had an Aston Martin V8 in storage for some time whilst it awaited it's turn to be finished sadly on the evening of October the twenty second somebody removed it from its "secure" storage in Westminster Sw1 , I only found out yesterday as the man who manages the underground car park it was in checked in on the place and discovered it had gone, please note this car park is behind a steel shutter which is always left shut with a key card to open it, and it's spaces are leased . There is CCTV footage of it being taken, interestingly it was left in a pay and display bay nearby for three days and it got three parking tickets , it was moved on the Thursday.
The Aston Martin is a 1973 V8 Saloon RHD with a manual gearbox registration PPP 8L , it's a medium metallic blue with a dark blue interior , the running gear had been rebuilt and the underside was in very clean condition with new sills and outriggers etc, the car is not fitted with it's engine and gearbox , they are stored separately, externally it looks complete , the interior was loosely refitted. If anyone has any ideas on locating it please feel free to chip in it was insured but they are trying to wriggle out of it and it's owner , a lovely chap, would love to get his car back . My Name is Bill and I can be reached on 07828006470 or dakotaclassics@hotmail.com , many thanks.

It was left in the P&D to see whether it had a tracker. Once they knew it didn't, my guess would be that it was loaded onto a container to be shipped to its new "owner". It's a rare enough car that attempting to flog it in bits or otherwise or even use it in the UK would seem a significant risk.

Sorry I can't be more help. Best of British.

Good morning
The leaving on the street thing does smell of tracker, my fear is that it has gone abroad, stick a big V8 in it and hey Preston instant low cost prestige classic, I have spoken to the investigating officer and like most he had little idea of value on some items. There is good CCTV footage and however took it had a card to get in.

If they've used a keycard to gain access to the garage, that must leave an electronic "footprint" somewhere. The card must have been coded by someone & I'm sure some of these machines must log who has been in & out and when.

Agree about the pay & display. Left there to see if it gets any Police attention for a couple of days then gone. Sadly, it's probably in a container by now or in piecesfrown

Morning, the garage it wad in is a quiet underground car park that is not busy and always closed, the CCTV is very clear on when it went , what pulled it out etc and there are also pictures of it taken by the traffic wardens who stuck tickets on it, but it did not get impounded or clamped, you know if you or I tried that the car would be taken away! Also with the area and terrorism you think the police would have taken a look, I would state the obvious , don't assume a thing, make sure you have done everything within reason to secure and insure your car wherever it is, if it's not bolted down some sod will take it
