Im after a decent spec laptop primarily for developing java/ abap on but when i'm away on site I want to be able to play the odd game in the evenings, the only problem is I only seem to be able to find laptops with 'Gaming' tagged all over them or garish colours which wouldnt look so good on a client site. Does anybody know of any laptops with a decent spec cpu (i5/i7) 16gb ram, 256+ssd (m2 if poss) and a nvidia 1050ti or above for about £1300...

Gigabyte Aero 14 in black doesn't look too out of place. Has two M2 drive slots and can be had for around £1400.

Slightly over budget but the HP Omen 15 looks like it would meet your two use cases. Garish backlit keyboard but can turn that off

ABAP? Poor bd (and I work for the creators of it! smile)

It's a difficult one. I'd consider trying for a Dell XPS 15 in the factory outlet, you might get lucky. Otherwise I'd be going for a Lenovo T series for that price for a work horse. Not so great for gaming but support and image wise you can't beat them for a work hack.

There’s a Razer Blade here for £1350. Always thought these look quite cool. I’m sure you can change the lighting to something discrete.

I'm out in Maidenhead. CHP isn't a bad place but I prefer the quieter life out in the sticks smile
