Alternative to Hammerite Kurust

Anyone know of a alternative cheaper product.I am a strong advocate of Kurust and have used it for years and would recommend without reservation,so what’s the problem well I,m restoring a steel narrow boat and wont to remove all paint and treat the bare metal.I,m guessing at least 5 lites of chemical All sensible information gratefully received

Phosphoric acid is often used. 60 litres for £169: Phosphoric Acid 60 litres

Naval Jelly is the term used in the USA for Kurust type products. The formulation is here if you wanted to make up your own: Naval Jelly

I've used many of these and they are far better than kurust which I used in the past
