The theme for the August competition is:

"Inside Out"

Any genre to fit the theme!

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please get out with your gear if you have time.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 800 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

A very wide range of possible interpretations this month

Here's mine - taken from inside (the viewing platform of the Shard) to outside (the Square Mile)

First time doing photography comp here... here goes:

I am inside the roof cladding of the Cayan Tower in Dubai (the twisting one) looking at the Princess Tower (At the time the tallest residential tower in the world). This shot is no longer possible as there's another tall tower in the way.

Hi All,

Thought this was quite a vague theme to be honest, but with a planned visit to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival today, was on the lookout for something to fit.

Hope you like smile

Taken last winter. Must be one of the best window views the UK has to offer!

I don't feel my photos are worthy to be entered but felt that this one fits the brief. This was taken with my rubbish phone camera last month; it's the Biosphere Environmental Museum in Montreal. The building is inside the sphere, but also outside as the sphere is open to the elements.

I've emailed the OP to ask him to judge the August entries - hopefully he'll be along soon

I don't wish to be judged as I know the deadline has passed, but I just stumbled across this thread, anyone guess where I took this from?

Sorry for the delay - a return to school this week!

Dan, I feel this one wins! Great texture, and moody!

Great shot!

Cheers
