I live on a private road and my front lawn goes all the way up to the road. With the increase in internet ordering and Christmas parcel delivery, I am returning home after a day at work to find that my lawn has been driven all over. This leaves deep crevasses in the lawn which are really hard to get out whilst also being somewhat unsightly.

What would be the preferred method to stop people driving on my lawn? I would like to install man traps, but hear that these are not humane.

Decorative boulders spaced out along the edge of the lawn would probably be the best option.

Or a few packs of nails scattered around. whistle

I I placed rockery stones around the perimeter, but it seems that Mr DPD and Mr Amazon in their LWB Mercedes Sprinter just go over these. Its not thier van, so zero poops given.

Just caught Mr Amzon in a gigantic Peugeot Boxer three point turning over my lawn. He just said sorry. I asked how that was going to help the grass, he told me that he had 50 more drops to do today.

Just annoyed.

Might be something worth having a search/putting up as a wanted ad on Facebook, Gumtree etc as there are normally people with that of thing much cheaper or free.

Around here people use large logs, circa 18" diameter and similar high

I was tired of the bin men doing similar when they pulled into / out of my drive so I stuck a couple of posts in - I used 8 x 8 with pointed tops but any fence post would do - technically I can't as it's officially the verge but as I mow it I took the risk

Or you could put maybe a 3 high?row of railway sleepers made into a flower bed feature.

Make it high enough to deter them wanting to drive over it.

Short round fence posts, £5 each.

Post driver, £40.

Cut to uniform length.

Do you ever take a day off picking holes in the posts of others?
Christmas Day perhaps?

Whenever I click on a thread and you are the last poster, it's some snide remark or faux outrage, usually about the OP. Doesn't it get monotonous?

A lot of people in our village put stones on their front verges, they've all just had a letter from the council saying they've caused an obstruction on the highway and to remove them or they'll be fined!
