Looking at going to this years Singapore race so just after any hints or tips from people who have been before.

More than likely getting Bay grandstand tickets, have read its not the best view but being a street track you'll be watching the screens anyway.

Also wanting to know how it works for the entertainment after, Muse, RHCP, SHM. Do you need separate tickets or is it included in the race ticket and can you get into each nights concert with the normal race ticket?

You can go to the entertainment on the day you've got tickets. Some of the entertainment is restricted to certain areas and tickets, but the headliner is open to all.

The actual concert is massive. There will be over 250,000 at the race and I'm sure most head to the music afterwards. The crowd goes on for a long way.

Singapore is hot enough as it is, but standing in a crowded field gets rather uncomfortable.

Brilliant atmosphere across Singapore in the build up.

I was in the Bay grandstand for the 2018 weekend. You don't see a great deal of action on that bit of track but there are two really good screens right in front of you and, unlike at Silverstone, you can hear the commentary, which is actually first rate. You'll also get an amazing view of the fireworks in the bay and there was a jet pack guy buzzing around the bay pre-race, which was pretty entertaining.

If you've been to a GP at Silverstone you'll be delighted at the cleanliness of the facilities, the quality of the food and the ability to see the track well from other spots around the track. There was a load of entertainment going on under the stands last year, so I assume you can expect more of the same.

2 warnings; a) it's ridiculously hot during FP1 and FP3, so wear a hat. b) there's a really good chance it will absolutely p!ss down during at least one session, so take a plastic poncho or something.

You'll find the organization really good as you enter the circuit but they close the entry lanes through the gates at 9pm local (ish) and everyone is expected to funnel out through the single lane at each gate, after the race. It's a bit of a squeeze.

All in all, the British GP could learn a lot from the Singapore organisers.

The city is brilliant - see and do as much as you can during the days and after the race/qualifying. Look out for the cute geckos everywhere and don't mention it at hotel reception if you find one in your room because they treat the cute little buggers as pests.
