Go Mango! Widebody Challenger | Pic of the Week

We've been to America to the drive the current Dodge Challenger - the one with the 485hp R/T Scat Pack...

The Dodge Challenger is a handsome car in its own right, all purposeful stance and squared-off 70's brawn. But add the Scat Pack into the mix, with its Hellcat-borrowed bodykit, 20-inch rims and flared arches and it's a thing of beauty.

We recently spent some time behind the wheel of a Go Mango! - yes, that's really what the shade of pain is called - example in the ideal setting of Southern California, an experience we'll go into greater detail about tomorrow...

In the meantime your desktop background can bask in all its Go Mango! glory, complimented as it is by a mural inspired by another great American institution: surf culture - and the allure of the Pacific Ocean that inspires it. Enjoy.

Not sure I like the sound of the Scat pack. Does it come with a brown interior?

A shade of ‘pain’; is that how much grief you experience when you scratch this monster and need to get a paint match for the respray, perchance?

I have loved the Dodge Challenger since November 72, when my Late Dad rocked up in this 70 R/T SE Hemi.
As for the Gen 2 version, I've been seriously thinking about one, but after my tweaked E46 M3 and various 911s, I think as a " Drivers Car" the new Challenger for me, would be a big disappointment. A fairly narrow track and a lot of weight carried high up, plus the cars considerable weight, puts me off.
