Considering one as a daily, I suspect not all on AT are noted as such/some that are aren't, other than the red GTI badge on the boot how else can you tell? Brake calipers look red on both, does the PP say GTI on them?

Thanks

Correct - the PP will have much larger front and rear brakes and will have the GTI logo on the calipers.Same size brakes as the R.

Another way to tell if you do go view the car is in the individual driver mode settings. You will see a setting for the front diff. This is not present on the non PP model.

Thanks for the reply. Great tip re the modes, didn’t realise that, but having had a MK7 non GTI before I’m well aware of it.

Cheers

Are all the GTI badges red then on a PP?

I've noticed some supposedly PP ones for sale have the badge not in red, I wondered if it depended on the model year?

If I've read correctly more recent ones can be coded for apple car play, even for pre Mk7.5's, anyone aware since when/how to look out for it?

Cheers

It was only the first few batches of MK7 GTI's that came without front and rear red GTI badges and had silver badges instead.

PP will have both front and rear badge's in red. People do buy the overlay stickers and use them on non PP models, so cant always reply on the pictures.

Check to see if the diff oils been replaced on a PP too.
I don’t think the Vw Service schedule suggests changing it but I only paid about £30-40 for piece of mind.

Oh and my 2013 had a silver badge until I changed it !
