I've been watching it.
It's pretty much identical in format to Man v Food (especially the original Adam Richman version). Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that - it's a good format, and a good balance between travelog, cooking, and eating challenges.
By contrast, I always find "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" to have too much cookery and not enough travelog.

Enjoyable enough way of killing 20 minutes at a time, could say bite sized TV.
Voice over is a bit annoying though.

A lot of the banter is contrived but at least a mutual respect seems to come across when they're actually lifting.
Good on Eddie for getting himself TV gigs.

The beast comes across well.
Yes, he does. Seems like a nice guy and comes across as very natural in front of the camera. The personality is very important in shows like this - it's one of the reasons that Man v Food went downhill when Casey Webb took over. He's ok, but doesn't have the same cuddly charm that Adam Richman had. And I think Eddie *does* have that charm (although my arms wouldn't be long enough to cuddle him. LOL)

He has ambitions to get into acting I believe, the next Arnie
I've seen 3 of the 4 shown so far (missed the mac and cheese) and he does come over well. Everyone he meets is 'buddy' . He was a blink and you miss him extra in Transformers - The Last Knight. He has ambitions to get into acting I believe, the next Arnie
He's hopeless as a competitive eater, but i suppose he's more of a host in this show?......not that i would say it to his face
Here's him trying to beat the youtuber Beard meats food and failing miserably....twice.

Dave Bautista seems to be doing ok too. So maybe there is room for one more?
I hope so!V8covin said:
It was his own words.
He's in another show with 3 other strong men doing feats of strength
yeah sure, it was a bit of a joke, but really AhNold had something special, I'm not tone to pooh-pooh dreams, but I don't see the same magic in Eddie. He's in another show with 3 other strong men doing feats of strength

His competitor in the Mac n Cheese challenge was an eating machine!
After finishing his own, finishes Eddies leftovers and suggests having a few wings after.
Just caught up with some episodes of this. I like it.After finishing his own, finishes Eddies leftovers and suggests having a few wings after.
That chap with the mac and cheese, what did it weigh, 5 lbs? He slurped / swallowed it like it was nothing!
I had a carbo slump just watching.

But he doesn't claim to be one. He has a big appetite due to his size and his calorie burn, but I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that this only takes you so far. I had to chuckle at the irony of him doing the Kitchen Sink Challenge because it isn't same one as Man v Food did (that one is in San Francisco).
So a show that is basically a copy of Man v Food does a challenge that is a copy of a challenge featured on Man v Food.
(I still enjoy the show though)
