32 years old and I've never seen Star Wars apart from A New Hope and some of Empire Strikes back, which I enjoyed. I've just got the blurays cheap on Amazon so I'm going to binge.
If I'm correct I should watch the prequel trilogy first, then the first trilogy, then the new trilogy?
YOu've seen the best stuff. But since you've already go the discs, there is mean to be a sort of different order to watch them in, maybe mentioned in one of the other threads. It's a good way to experience how style has overtaken substance. If I'm correct I should watch the prequel trilogy first, then the first trilogy, then the new trilogy?
i watched them in order of timeline.
Forget the 1st one, not worth it.
Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Solo (2018)
Rogue One (2016)
Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi (1983)
The Mandalorian series
Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)
Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)
Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Release order is OK but “Machete order” also makes a lot of sense - you can google it but the article and other discussions give away a lot of plot spoilers that you may prefer to discover fresh.
You’ve made the right start, it goes 4, 5, 2, 3, 6 - getting to the cliffhanger at the end of 5 then giving you a good bit of back story about Anakin before rounding off with Return of the Jedi. It keeps all the twists intact too.
If you’re interested at that point by all means watch 1 to fill in but it’s not key to the story, doesn’t establish any important characters, just doesn’t matter really. Better to put to one side and get to 6 a bit quicker.
Then the rest of the “numbered” episodes (7, 8, 9) and after that Rogue One, Solo, any other Star Wars stuff like Clone Wars etc.

Can you report back with an honest review. They are all on sky and I’m tempted to give them a go.If I'm correct I should watch the prequel trilogy first, then the first trilogy, then the new trilogy?
I’m 34 and haven’t seen any, although I get a bit of a perverse enjoyment when I tell old people I haven’t seen them. It’s like saying you’ve never heard of toothpaste.
I’m also able to get the same reaction from young people when I tell them I have never read or seen any of the Harry Potter stuff.

My dad passed away without ever watching a Star Wars film, he was just not in to science fiction films.I’m also able to get the same reaction from young people when I tell them I have never read or seen any of the Harry Potter stuff.
I have seen the Harry Potter films but prefer the early films

Only 4,5 and 6 exist.
The rest you can ignore
As a newcomer to the franchise it'll be interesting to see what I think of the later films. The rest you can ignore
I'm going to watch in chronological order, but as mentioned I'm probably going to skip The Phantom Menace.
