Another new show that I am loving at the moment

Devs

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8134186/

"A computer engineer investigates the secretive development division in her quantum computing company called Amaya, which she believes is behind the disappearance of her boyfriend."

Created by Alex Garland, writer for such films as Ex Machina, 28 Days Later, Annihilation.
No definitive UK air date yet but -

"Though the channel FX has a deal with BBC Two to syndicate the show here in the UK, there’s no definitive air date for it just yet but can confirm that it will be sometime in mid-April."

Or if you know how to use a VPN you can watch it on Hulu or the other not spoken of on Pistonheads way wink

Watched the first episode of this tonight. It hooked me about 20 minutes into it.
Must catch up on the other episodes during the week.
Intriguing possibilities, which they can hopefully resolve satisfactorily. 1 episode in is too early to say much for definite.

This show starts Wednesday 15th April on BBC2. Written by Alex Garland, sounds really interesting. Anyone seen any of it yet? Any thoughts?

Link here to an interview with Nick Offerman who is always good in what he does.

Liked it very much. As above, not fast paced, but great at what it does. Not for everyone though. Very good cast, and a great use of soundtracks and sound effects. Final episode later this week, so will form a fuller opinion once I've digested that.

I watched the first one, I haven't quite decided yet whether it's good or indifferent, it's a bit early to tell. That boss would be really annoying to work for, with all his vague mumbo-jumbo about the new job.

Its well worth watching this if you like proper scifi. If you think Sci-fi is giant lasers shooting into the sky then you're going to have a bad time.
Its one whole season and is all wrapped up at the end.

Its available on the bay if you dont want to wait...

Unintentionally a very appropriate phrase for late evening TV. smile

I still haven't decided if this is good or just pretentious rubbish.

Only seen the first episode so far but looking forward to the rest, however a couple of things:-

The Devs 'floating' lab - where do they get their water from and where does the sewage go? I know, I know, but as soon as Sergei went to the bog it was the first thing I thought.

Why was Sergei killed? I couldn't work out what the company owner was accusing him of - was it something I missed seeing earlier in the episode or is it something that will come to light in upcoming episodes.

It was all to do with his watch, I don't no how to post 'spoilers' so won't elaborate, it will become a little clearer in the second episode.

It's in the first episode, so I assume you missed it.

He was trying to film the code on the screen with a secret camera in his watch, why the boss thinks it is acceptable to kill him for this becomes apparent in later episodes

Thanks all, the explanations make sense now. Still not sure what happens to their water comes in and out though!

What happened to the last ten minutes of episode two? My EPG said it was 9pm to 10pm, but the credits rolled around 9.50, and I sat through them in case there was an extra bit at the end.

According to the iPlayer the length of the episodes varies quite a bit.

Episode 2 is 47mins long

Episode 3 is only 40mins long.
