Is the correct combination isn't it?

Not black wheels?

Just want to make sure I have this aesthetically correct and not fall foul of the PH fashion police.

2008 MX5 NC hard top convertible for clarity.

Either a high power silver, or a decent gunmetal IMO.

I always liked the wheels on my Mk1 Leon Cupra R back in the day, the car was Platinum Grey and the stock wheel colour was a dark deep grey.

Exactly what I have (not the car but the colour combo)

White wheels on a 106 rallye, gold on a blue impreza

Anything else should be silver wink

Whichever you prefer is the correct answer.

Definitely, I have been looking at ND's and Mustangs and while the ND just about gets away with it on its dark alloys the Mustangs look awful in grey/black but stunning with the silver alloys.

However I also have a thing for gold/copper alloys on grey cars:

What ever you prefer. I prefer silver, I changed mine from black as soon as I got the car.

Both my summer and winter alloys are silver for my dark metallic grey car. I won't consider any other colour alloys.

No wrong answer between those two I reckon. It may also depend a bit on the exact shades of each colour. I'd lean towards silver but could imagine grey/black working well too.

Depends most of the time I prefer silver wheels. I liked the graphite speedline wheels on my clio trophy though. I like the black alloys on s2 exiges as well.

Strong fan here of graphite/anthracite on grey cars - less so silver.

Straight up black just looks tacky and nasty on anything, it's a fashion that cannot go away quickly enough. The Mazda black wheels that look like they've been painted in gloss house paint are especially st.

The bronze ones someone posted look smashing on that ND, I rather like the idea of gold or bronze for my red MX5.

I hate black wheels with a passion, they just look proper poo and stay clean for 5 minutes. Whoever thought that they were a good idea need a shotgun to the head. Rant over. Personally I like anthracite wheels but yes with gunmetal grey I agree silver would definitely be better!

Yup silver everytime👍. Aware that mine are actually diamond cut... which aren’t to everyone’s taste but I love em 😊

Agree.

Personally i can't stand black wheels (we're not starring in Nightrider!) but each to their own.

Silver/Gunmetal/Copper/Gold on dark grey is preferred for me.

Generally would have agreed. Until I bought my car.
