Another 'what car shall I buy' thread
Discussion
Currently running a C7 RS6 PE.
It's run through my business and my accountants want me to run something cheaper!
To cut a long story short my personal circumstances have changed and I don't really need to run this kind of car anymore, as I'm doing less long distance driving. As per the huge tax benefits has swayed me towards running a small electric car to commute to my office and to run around my home city all paid through the company.
But I will need/want another car to run privately for the following:
Occasional medium/long distance journeys at weekends away
Airport drives
I've estimated no more than 3000-4000 miles a year and it could be less.
Because I'm coming from a RS6 I want something that can put a smile on face, so something with some power to overtake, but I'm not going to be taking it on a track day, things like fuel consumptions or insurance categories don't really concern me as the mileage is so low.
My budget is somewhere between 10-15k but up to 20k if I found the right machine.
Currently live alone so practicality is not a big issue, as long as I could get two people and two suitcases in it somewhere in the car.
I have had a few ideas
Porsche Cayman (maybe not enough luggage space?)
E63/E64 M6 (V10 engine reliability long term?)
but I'm very open suggestions, please fire away!!!

If there’s not enough luggage space for you in a Cayman you need to “have a word with yourself”.
Just get a Boxster or Cayman - I’d have suggested a lotus but you appear to need “luggage space”.
No point getting another large car for fun duties imho.
Also, the acquisition of an EV loses you significant PH points so you should really be buying something completely impractical to redress the balance.

I asked about a Cayman luggage space in the hope someone would confirm how much space there is...

impractical works for moi!
I think it’s something like 425 litres.
You’ll get “two people in two suitcases” in there. Depends how small you chop ‘em. Yes, I’ve deliberately misquoted you.
