It's with Electric Classic Cars who did the Vintage Voltage series, the silver Beetle has been on their YouTube channel a few times.

By all accounts everybody's favourite youtuber and his Senna makes an appearance.

90 minutes? Hope there's not too much padding, his last few programs didn't really need the extra.

Guy was racing a comp safari event yesterday.

Electric Drag Racing VW Bug, it was done about 12 years ago.

I guess it was made before the latest Tesla came out...

I'm not sure who is more irritating, the voiceover man or Martin. I had to give up on it.

Blimey! That's an eye opener on the cost of the electric compared to diesel.

He was using Rip Off motorway service station chargers though, same as they are rip off for petrol/diesel too.

The long distance run was painful and expensive. 40 quid to super charge it at Gretna.
Let's revisit that journey in ten years when it's actually feasible and cost comparable, or is that just a pipe dream?

Yep, but cost of petrol and diesel at MW stations is generally 10p-15p more expensive than the national average, which is a tad less than quoted on the programme.

Rubbish drag result really. Tesla out of box performance but entertainment of sorts on a slow night.

I quite enjoyed it. I like Guy Martin, he's really upbeat and enthusiastic. He's a bit like the opposite of this place ha ha

They started from the wrong place, did it the wrong way, then on top of it threw a load of bodging together.

Outcome never in doubt.

No?

Fair enough. It doesn't have the question mark on my Freeview EPG.
