The theme was to submit a photo which evoked an emotional connection to or resonance with our world, its inhabitants, or majestic environments.

A "lesser" photo may do well, if the emotional impact it has is greater. You all have my apologies in advance, given that my emotions are deciding who wins and who diesnt - this competition was biased from the start.
