Suppose you had the money to drop on your dream car and after months of consideration it came down to these 2. Which would you go for and why?

Black would almost certainly be the colour in both cases (maybe a dark green or blue for the Vanq).

Mondeo & R500 & bank the rest isn't the way in this case.

Vanquish. I honestly couldn't live with a LHD car.

LHD doesn't bother me in the slightest as I am used to it from 9 years with the 'grale.

I think I'm leaning towards the Vanq too, but the 8c will probably hold its value better scratchchin

I'd go for the 8c. Aston was always going to be my "lottery win" car but they all look the same nowadays and not much different than a Jag.

8c ! not even a millisecond needed to make that decision. The vanquish is nice but the you wont see another 8c every day.

The 8C of course, because it will (fractionally) increase my chances of seeing one smile

8c 8c 8c and many more times than twice on sunday. It is the single most beautiful car to come out of Italy since the Ferarri Daytona. You will probably never see another on UK roads unless you arrange a meet. You will be the envy of every car lover in the country.

I have seen at least 20 AMV8s, about the same for the DB9 and I must have seen 30 plus DB7s on the road in 15 years, I have seen 4 Vanquish's on the road in the 8 years they have been around.
I'm amazed that you've seen so few. TBH I rarely look at AMV8s these days as I'm bored of them - a while ago I saw three within five minutes of each other! I guess that's what comes of living in Cheshire...

Anyway I think that I'd bypass the looks and drama of the Alfa and go for the Aston. They just seem so right to me, big and brawny in a very British way more in keeping with the old models.

8C for me, but would have to be RED!

An 8C in black, just doesn't do it justice...

The Vanquish, like all modern Astons, is a very boring design. Yes it has class and a good soundtrack blah blah, but the 8C has passion, exciting looks and sounds good too. thumbup

The Vanquish is probably the only modern Aston who's design you could defend as being original, that kink does the trick for me. Not too keen on the interior though.

Vanquish. About the only modern Aston I would get, and yes I'd get the manual box fitted too.

Although in all honesty I'd probably get a minty McMint NSX and a Morgan Aero 8 instead.

I'd probably go with the 8C too, but it would have to be traditional Alfa met red, just as the Vanquish would have to be in that lovely traditional Aston Racing Green.

A black Alfa 8C.....that's heresy biggrin
