Just been looking at my brother's S2 Elise (Kseries engine) after he called me from petrol station. Car won't run when warm. It starts but dies within 2-3 seconds. When it cools down all is fine. Did a quick cursory check of fuel pump, ECU connections etc. and all seems ok.

Anyone had similar problem and figured it out?

Have a search on SELOC http://forums.seloc.org in the technical forums. I'm sure this has come up before. If you can't find anything, post a similar question in the tech forum and you'll get some answers pretty quick.

Thanks for the advice... at the moment it's a toss up between the crank shaft sensor or the coolant sensor. Will replace both.

I had simalar problem, I could leave car for weeks and it would start first time but if I drove for any length of time then stopped petrol station etc it would not start again. Some times would have to leave it for half an hour before it would start again. This was diagnosed as the Cam position sensor, and after having it replaced it as never happened again. Best of luck
