Once I pass my test I need a bike that is 33bhp and I think I would prefer something that doesn't need (or much) restricting and looks similar to the Honda XBR 500. Do you know any that are like this (excluding the one mentioned)?

Cheers

Just so everyone knows what a Honda XBR is:

New Royal Enfield or is that too retro?

Suzuki Goose 350 (import)

I'm sure there a few more choices i'll add if i think of any.

Yes I liked the goose, the only problem is they seem very difficult to find for sale.
The bike would have to be about 1000 to 2500 pounds. Once you get into the real classics they start going way up in price.

Thanks.

http://www.thumperclub.com/drupal/ good place to start, also look at srx600, any of the 600ish trail bikes of the early 90`s, honda dominators are a good tool too.
As long as your not too short, I`m 5-8 ish and had a xt600 tenere with a 33inchseat height.

For that kind of money you'd be able to pick up a half decent BSA B31, Matchless G3L or even a BSA A7 (twin cylinder 500). You could easily cafe racer these, they'd would hold their money (if not increase), free tax, cheap insurance and easy to work on.
