Geneva: Pagani targets ice cream market
Just one more very, very special one-off Zonda called the Tricolore
At last the Zonda for multi-millionaires who really wanted a small manoeuvrable jet. Officially, Pagani has built the £1,340,000 Tricolore to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the crack Italian air display team the 'Frecce Tricolori'.
It has a small, vertical fin on top of the engine cover and LED running lights at the front shaped to look like the tail fin of a plane. Our hunch is that when it comes to gelati, Horatio Pagani just can't make up his mind.

Bling bling bling.
Give me an old C12S in blue with cream leather any day (as per the old press shots back in the day)
They really have made these things appeal to wealthy chavs only. Who in their right mind wants all that clutter and look at me stuff stuck all over the body/wheels/interior?
Dave

Please can I have one of those daft loans that the government gave to Saab so that I can procure myself a Zonda?
Not too fussed about the colour, any colour will do - the Tricolour one is nice though - that'd keep me happy.
Whilst I'm at it, could do with a new stereo, and a new watch too, but then again, my names not Richard Branson or Bill Gates - do they do a Ford Focus priced version?

Incredible detailing on this car. The resin in the 'blue' carbon fibre has an irridescence to it that the photos can't really capture. It's truly a thing of beauty in the ermmm.... fibre!
I remember being at the Paris show the year the Carrera GT was introduced, what was it, 1999? There was the Veyron prototype. Looked like VW of some type. There was the Koenigsegg. Looked like a kit car. There was the Carrera GT. Looked like a Porsche. And there was the Pagani Zonda and it looked absolutely fantastic. The carbon fibre, the paint was more shiny than anything else, the interior, the leather holding the bonnet in place. Everything was top notch.Davey S2 said:
£1.3M is a joke for a car with a Merc engine and very little history IMO
If a car is as good as the Zonda, "history" doesn't mean a thing. Ferrari / Lamborghini started somewhere too, and I bet the cars they produced in their first decade were very expensive. Also, I'd have no qualms about the engine being a Mercedes unit - they do build some of the best big roadcar engines.Although, I do agree that £1.3m is a serious amount of wedge for a roadcar and would personally question what justifies that price.
