If you are getting off the DLR train, rather than driving, cross the Limehouse Link bridge and walk into the East India Dock development. There is a coffee place there.

If driving, not much choice I'm afraid. There is a cafe (from memory) in Poplar High Street which is very close (closer to Blackwall DLR).

Thanks for that we are on foot, so cross North from the station into the development? The bit marked FB here? http://tinyurl.com/yhss2nq

That's it. The cafe is at the end of clove crescent just below where it says Council Offices. The footbridge goes from the station north over the dual carriageway, walk round the buildings and it is at the end of the canal under the archway. Not been there for a few months though. You can walk out of the East India Dock Development past the travelodge and the big switch buildings to the A13.

Really not many other options around there I'm afraid. (I've not been there for while though to be fair).

There's a Travelodge near East India DLR with a cafe/coffee bar attached, although whether it's any good or not I couldn't tell you.

If you go to the coffee shop under the archway as described above you'll come out stinking of greasy fry-up. Best bet is to go to Azzuro's bar just to the left of it.

Worked on that complex for 3 1/2 years so need any more info give me a shout smile
