My oh has managed to scrape/dint nearly the whole door sill on her A3. I reacon it needs replacing. How much is this likely to cost? Why do they have those low walls in car parks!!

I doubt this very much! He says door and sill damage, i'd imagine closer to £1K all in at an approved body shop.

No worries, my take on what he wrote is just the sill but I might be wrong.

Just the sill but badly dented will need replacing plus a scuff to the rear bumper. when you open the doors you can see the sill is distorted. Thanks

Good indy paint shop will charge you about £130 a panel to paint.

Cutting out and replacing sill.....

I would get it repaired myself.

I dont think £200 will do it. A good body shop with a repaint could be at least £350

I had similar on my mk5 golf, dent in the lower sill, quite a big dent (guess it must have hit a high kerb).

Local body shop did it for £170, impossible to notice it once done.
(but there was no crease in my door shut it was lower down the sill).

I doubt you'll see any change from £500 for an Audi approved bodyshop to replace a sill panel...

Always tough to say without photos, but if you track down a bodyshop that has a Miracle system, they can repair even badly damaged semi-structural panels like sills very rapidly, saving a lot in labour and parts required by cutting out and welding in a replacement.
