Gap for washing machine
Discussion
Haven't measured it, but ours must be somewhere between 61 and 62cm, assuming the machine itself is exactly 60cm wide.
Even with that much gap, the guys who delivered our current machine resorted to squirting washing up liquid on the floor to slip it into the gap (not enough room to "walk" it in).
If it's anywhere near an internal corner of the units, check the depth of the machine as well; they can stick out a long way (which is made worse by the necessary pipework behind) and foul adjacent doors & drawers on the perpendicular run.

you may want more than 62cm the instructions for our new washer suggest 25mm clearance each side, so 65cm or a shade more might be better, or a built in unit if you can only provide a 60cm gap.
If you don't get your washer fully balanced in a tight gap it is likely to shake your kitchen possibly to bits.

Thanks for your help.
It is going in a corner and I hadn`t considered how far, it will stick out so the cupboard door will open. Top tip to consider. Also the height under the worktop.
It will be lino floor and I was thinking a bit of card under the back legs to let it slid a bit easier into place.

Nor did I. I assumed all machines were the same standard size in all dimensions; turns out our old machine was particularly shallow, as I discovered when slotting its replacement into the gap and finding that I could no longer get at my pots and pans
Of course, the only model I could find that would fit the space available and allow me to open the doors & drawers was twice the price
