How to remove glue residue?

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the glue residue from the standard fairing stickers without damaging the paint.
Tried a few things but it hasn't shifted a bit.

White spirits or WD40. Leave the bike in the sun for a bit to soften the glue.

Hammer & chisel, make sure you're wearing safety goggles and a fluorescent yellow bib (orange ones are unsafe).

You might need an angle grinder for the trickier to reach parts.

You can get some aerosol thing called "sticky stuff remover"

it's pretty self explanatory tbh. there's loads of things around similar too.

If you put some mayo onto the residue and cover and leave for a while.the oils in the mayo will break down the sticky.honestly it does work.

Brake cleaner and a soft cloth. Don't rub too hard or you will take the paint off too.

That's twice today I've recommended brake cleaner; it really is a do everything solvent, I've used it for cleaning carbs, degreasing bearings, cleaning panels before spraying, taking crap of my hands, even for cleaning brakes!

Hairdryer, warms the glue, easier to remove...

Ideally works best if you warm the sticker prior to removal. But its a tip for the future .

WD40 is perfect for this, and you most people have it laying around.

If the glue residue is very hard or dry warm it up with a hair dryer/heat gun or something. Then go at it with the WD40.

I buy the stuff by the case from whoever has it cheapest on Ebay. Worked a treat on my lube and chain muck stained swingarm. The rough cast ally bits were hanging onto the grime until I assaulted it with a few blasts of brake cleaner.

Never tried it on paint though.
