Hey I am reading about some roads on WeirdNJ.com. I was wondering if any roads near you is spooky (not necessarily haunted) and if so please give the name and Google streetview of itbiggrin I'll start, Blue Bell Hill, Kent (road what goes into Medway). Been up there loads of times both in me dads car since I was a kid and more recently my own yet never experienced anything from it. Quite an unusual site for a haunting I must say! Busy dual carriage way and all.

It's not the dual carriageway that's haunted, it's the old (now unpasable?) lane that runs parallel to it.

Glencoe on a gloomy day. You can sense the clan being pursued and murdered.

Some of the lanes round the back of Earlswood in Warwickshire are a bit creepy, especially on dark nights with some mist.

Well after reading roadghosts.com It transpires that the stretch of road where I live is haunted by not one but two ghosts! Both in seperate locations. Both involve running people over who arent actually there.

Haunted roads?

You have to be kidding. Even if you believe in ghosts you honestly can't believe that they would spend their days dossing around the M6?

The playboy mansion is actually the most haunted place on Earth.

Apparently Bowaters roundabout,( Gillingham Tesco's now ) was once haunted by a creepy Ghoul with many reports of cars being chased up the dual carriage, hovering specters seen above the roadway and roundabout, not fogetting the mysterious clouds that were also apparently witnessed etc...........

.......well that was until the fkwit with a white sheet and holes cut for eyes got himself caught. laugh

I think a few people who over exaggerated their claims laid low for a while.thumbup

Benfleet Road near the water tower on top of Essex Way. Supposed to be haunted by a bunch of Nuns who got run over by a horse and cart.
Heard that story many times when I grew up near there.

Hmm, yes they are. I use them to get from Redditch to Dorridge and vice versa quite often.

Not too far away from there in Hatton, a couple of colleagues were leaving Hatton train station at 4am one morning and swear they saw a monk crouching on the grass verge at the side of the lane there. At the same time they said an icy chill went through them (well the bloke sat in the passenger seat anyway).

They still swear by what they saw, and have no reason to lie, so who knows?

Dependant on what stories you listen to, Dancers End Lane just off the B4009 between Tring and Aylesbury has Gravity Hill.
When stopped at the bottom of the hill, with the handbrake off, A car will roll up the hill.

Closest streetview will go is the B4009 off the A41.

Underhill Lane?

I grew up in Hassocks, cycled hundreds of miles around those lanes.

Unstone/Dronfield bypass.

The woods alongside are haunted and this is, obviously, why people keep going off on a gentle bend, down an embankment, exactly five feet before the Armco starts..

You wouldn't want to know what goes on in those woods...

So I'm told...

Yes, I live in Ditchling so rarely use the lane as I either go out towards Lewes, over the Beacon to Brighton or via Hassocks to the A27. I do walk it occasionally as there are hundreds of berry trees along the lane ripe for picking in the autumn.
Good place for MX-5 spotting although I believe Sporting will charge you to look through the window hehe

the a656 is supposedly haunted by the ghost of mary pannel. if you're Google mapping, its the hill after allerton bywater. I grew up there and everyone refers to the road as the mary pannel or just the pannel.

not sure what the footage is like but going up the hill, look right and you'll see ledston hall.

there were other stories, such as a particular tree (the one she was supposedly hanged from) that you'd die if you tried to climb.
