Hi

I normally buy my tyres from Camskill but they do not have the ones I want (Kumho KU31 in a 215/45/R17) at the moment.

Are there any other online suppliers that can offer similar price & good service?

Otherwise I'll have to go with my second choice Falken ZE912s, which appear to be the best budget alternative to the Kumhos.

Gary.

Blackcircles.com are similar to Camskill, I always check both before ordering tyres.

Another option is to try a German company who ship to the UK, but there prices are occasionally low enough to warrant the extra postage.

Edit; Just had a look for the German company I used and I can't seem to find them, been a while since I last looked.

Edit Again; Here is the place I meant; http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/

Never been able to better Camskill for service.

Occasionally on price but only through dodgey eBay sellers where you absolutely must check the DOT code on each tyre.

Camskill have always turned out cheaper for me, and they have always had the tyres to me quicker than I expected. I wish they sold the AD07s for my car.

yes

Considering the speed and quality of service, I'd never go anywhere else.

AD08 you mean?

Camskill will also price match any online supplier who has stock of a given tyre.`

I have used these a few times, mainly because they offer free delivery to the IOW when Camskill, Mytyres and BlackCircles want between £10 and £15 per tyre!

personally I would avoid 912's, FK452 is their good tyre. The 912 is AFAIK designed for motorway cruising in middle size cars. All the Falken tyres seem to suit lighter cars TBH

I have 452's on my TVR and Golf V5, they are excellent in both applications. Tried them on my much heavier Omega and they were horrible. Then I made things worse by replacing with 912's when the 452's wore out. Made the Omega scary to drive.

Try: http://www.tyremen.co.uk/

Very helpful and friendly guys. Mention PH and you may get a discount (stress, may) or price match. No silly shipping charges, just one reasonable fee.

I've got FK452s on the Jag & they are fine, not good in cold weather but great otherwise.

You might find there's a bit of a shortage of Kumho at the moment, the importers can't bring them in fast enough.

When there's a shortage of a particular tyre it seems the pure online retailers stock dries up first.

Give any Micheldever / Pro Tyre garage a call, they're the best bet for stock.

I always found Micheldever good (mail order) but Camskill were good on R888

Event tyres are also worth a mention, they will come to you and fit them, so much easier than messing about going somewhere to get them fitted.

I would concur with this. Just removed the (halfworn) Falken 452's from my W140 CL500 (which weighs the same as a small cottage) and put on Continentals - huge difference in handling and high speed sure-footedness.

No, AD07, the current officially Lotus sanctioned tyre for the S2 Elise and the only official option now that the Lotus pattern RE040 is like rocking horse poo. This one:

http://www.eliseparts.com/products/show/78/480/yok...

Camskill do sell the AD08, but it is not available in 175/55/16.
