Does anyone else remember one of either Performance car or Fast lag mags giving away an audio cassette with superb soundtracks of cars racing around Brands hatch?

I am sure there was the sound of a v12 Lister Jag Xjs , a Lambo, and an Aston martin on one tape.

I have huge box of tapes in my loft and some vinyl but havent had a tpe player or record deck for about twenty years now,I`d be surprised if you could find many people with a tape deck or even a video player now days.

I still have the very tape. Was from Fast Lane magazine, and was called "Now hear this! - Live from Brands"

Featured the Lamborghini Countach, Lister 7-Litre XJS, Aston Martin Vantage and Porsche 959.

Will dig it out and have a listen (if my tape deck still works - hasn't seen light of day for a while) and report back smile

wavey Also a few record players, one wind up from the 40s, one from 1970 & the one I still use regularly from about 1982. I also have a valve radio from the 50s. Modern technology, who needs it. smile

I'm sure there was one of those tapes around 87/88 with an F40 on it, along with some other supercars of the time. Ah the simpler days. smile

I remember the Lister, etc tape, sounded awesome (yes even on a tape) sure its in the loft with some other car related stuff.

Tape deck and VHS in the loft, almost useless now but can't quite bring myself to sling it and who knows with it maybe worth something someday?

The 2nd tape was Mark Hales driving Nick Masons F40, a Carrera club sport, Sapphire Cosworth, audi quattro and perhaps one other car at Donington.

Sue I've still got the tape and magazine somewhere.

April 89 issue that was with the F40 sideways with Mark Hales at the wheel. You got a supplement called "Sound and Fury" and the cassette as well

I have fond memories of that tape. My favorite was the 911 3.2 CS that figured on the tape.

Ebay. Eventually it'll come up.

I have a tape deck in my car although I don't think I have ever used it.
