In the post this morning, I have been given a complimentary Regus businessworld gold membership, allegedly worth over £450. It's from Natwest.

I have signed up and applied for my card, which should be with me within 21 working days.

I'll never use most of the perks but the "access to any of Regus's 1,100 business lounges and cafes across 500 cities and 85 countries - including complimentary internet access and refreshments" sounds quite appealing.

I presume there'll be a few Natwest business customers who received them this morning or last week and that there will be a few PHers who have this package?

Where are these business lounges and cafes? Are they contained within their serviced offices or what?

Unless I'm being stupid I can't actually see a find option on the website?

I can see serviced offices, virtual offices and meeting rooms but not business lounges? Am I being stupid?

They seem to offer this free membership to a fair few different people i.e. Virgin gold membership includes it as do many others.

If these places are in decent locations, I guess it saves having to open the laptop in a cafe or bar.

The lounges are within the Regus serviced office buildings. I've had one for years and never really used it. A lot of consultants I know love them as it's mid-way between working from home and hiring an office.

Most Regus's don't have that many people in the lounges so you often get some peace and quiet. I was told by the manager of one that if you turn up at a Regus that doesn't have a lounge (there are a few) then they have to give you your own office instead.

There's one a few doors down from our Manchester office - I tend to turn up at hours when the office hasn't opened yet due to wanting to beat the traffic in the morning. What time do they open, do you know?

I will try and use it as it's free - and if it saves me buying 2 or 3 coffees a week then it's something for nothing I suppose.

The one we used to be in had a manned reception from 8 until 5 I think.

Until recently I used them a lot, as did a few members of my team.
The lounges are in their serviced offices and they have pretty good UK and EU coverage.

We have acquired an office now so we are letting our Regus membership lapse. In the last 12 months it has really gone downhill and the flexibility they once demonstrated so well has gone out the window. This will not be relevant for a business lounge customer though.

Hi AB,

Here's a link to a YouTube video where you can see the different types of rooms -- offices, meeting rooms and of course business lounges -- that we offer.

http://www.youtube.com/regusmedia#p/a/u/2/-wIHDOh4...

Here's the page our UK website with more info and some pictures: http://www.regus.co.uk/businessworld/businessloung...

Generally Regus centres are open to businessworld members between 8.30am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. We open 24/7 in most locations to office customers (who have access just as if it was their own company's premises).

We look forward to seeing you at Regus.

Best wishes,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I've been a Regus VO customer for several years with consistently poor service bordering on unacceptable at times. Each time I complain the centre managers buck the problem and invariably after a few months they are replaced by a new face who then tells me everything will be fine henceforth. The staff turnover of centre managers has been alarming and I have been unable to contact anyone that does anything other than fob me off. I even completed a customer questionnaire recently (like the one you have linked above) I detailed all the issues I have had and explicitly asked to be contacted, but no one bothered. The reason I haven't ditched Regus is because we use the centre address for our customers and changing paperwork, business cards etc would be tiresome.

I've experienced lots of people apologising and promising me they will resolve the issues, all the right noises are made but to no avail. Is there anybody within Regus who genuinely cares and will take ownership for the issues I have experienced? Don't tell me to contact my centre manager - they are as much use as a chocolate teapot and no doubt they will have left before they can do anything.

Cheers pp

Hi Chris,

It's nice to see someone from Regus is looking out for these things. I'm afraid we exhausted the customer services route through our account manager a while back. For a couple of years it suited us fine but when we were suddenly unable to use our desk hours in offices other than our home office it immediately became far less useful. Previously helpful account managers and desk staff were unable (bit not unwilling) to help despite repeated complaints.

We no longer need the service as we have bought offices but I hope in future that Regus will demonstrate this willingness to help that has been missing for the las year or so.

Cheers

I currently rent an office from Regus. Big problem i'm having is that the office shares heat and air con with the office next door. They like it HOT in there, which means i'm currently roasting in here. I have spoken to the staff her about it, but at the moment they are brushing me off.
