Hi Chaps,
I bought for peanuts today, a C reg 190e one owner in remarkable condition, but, it's the strangest colour I've ever seen.
Sort of an olive drab, peppermint slime green.
Just wondering what the official colour is????
It also has a green nuts interior.
Bonkers car.
Regards to all
Mike. beer

A photo would help. You could even tell us the code. Maybe you could manage to tell us whether it is metallic or solid?

But here is a chart from June 1986, so you can see for yourself what was available. As for the interior, that was called "green" and was one of about 8 different colours. It is quite highly prized as it has the virtue of being distinctive. These days it seems you can have black, grey or beige. So dull.

Aren't 'olive' and 'peppermint' a bit contradictory?

I haven't got the link to hand at the second - if its still operational. Sure its mentioned in past postings.

The russian site - enter the chassis details - hey presto - full build details.

I thought the Russian VIN decoder was gone?

In any case, the 3-digit colour code is stamped on the panel riveted to the slam panel under the bonnet.

803 Moss Green (riedgrun in German).

Classic MB colour, it ran from 1982 to 1986 and is quite often seen on w123s. Your car looks great. Why can't I have my new Mercedes in these colours?

Not to my taste, but it's definitely of its time and quite rare.

I found this one purely by chance, a happening so to speak.

Literally popped onto ebay, classic section, it had just been listed, rang the chap, came to a deal, and nipped up to collect it.

Lovely old thing, and I shall fix those rear arches asap as that's literally the only rot on it.

Not heard from Garlick yet laugh

And may I say, a fine selection in your garage. yes
