Sorry if it gave offence wasn't the intention at all. Having had people close to me suffer from similar problems and who seemingly had similar dispositions to Sytner I thought it a reasonable comment. After their health problems they mellowed out and started taking things a little easier and less seriously. Hopefully Sytner can do the same.Cheers

It was a very strange thing. We left DP a few minutes before the end of the 1,000kms race in order to get down south. As I was walking across the car park I commented to my dad how weird it was that everything was completely silent. We shrugged it off as being the end of the race, but evidently the red flag had flown.
I rather like Sytner and his press-on-regardless style, though he is a tough racer, no doubt. He gives no quarter, but his Whitsun Trophy battle with Ray Bellm a few years ago was one of the all-time classics. Ditto his 24 vs 25 battle with Andy Middlehurst in last year's Glover Trophy.
I wish him all the best for a swift and full recovery.

Frank Sytner, famous for owning the odd BMW dealership, for scaring the crap out of radio 1 dj mike smith(after he had taken the extra point for fastest lap)and for having a ding dong battle with james weaver(i think) at silverstone during the 80's.
Don't know the man personally, so wont comment on him, but get well fella

And also this
"A millionaire car dealer in a Rutland village has been rebuffed in court after attempting to sue a nearby farmer for having sheep that were too muddy. "Mud was inevitable" said Judge Victor Hall as he threw out Frank Sytner's application to Leicester Crown Court for a restraining order against farmer Edward Baines and his untidy flock. While Judge Hall counselled that people living in the countryside had to expect such things, Sytner's wife Elizabeth told the court of her own rustic ordeal; "I was in my garden and heard cows making a noise in the field. It was annoying, so I went to see what was happening." When told it was normal for cows to be heard in the countryside, Mrs Sytner replied "Yes, it's unfortunate, isn't it?". Sytner was ordered to pay his own and Mr.Baines legal costs, estimated at £35,000."
Hope he makes a full recovery, he's clearly a very enthusiastic motorsport man.

I notice that there are some comments alluding to Frank Sytner's personality. I am also tempted to add a little candour but perhaps this is not the time to do it.
Get well Frank, you - - - - !
And best wishes to his family on a speedy recovery…
P.S. Please let the nurses steer your trolley.

I have worked in the Sytner Group since 1997 when i started out as a parts apprentice at Sytner BMW Nottingham when is was 16.
It is a fantastic company to work for with great oppertunities to do well if you put in the hard work. Mr Sytner built his business up from a small car garage on Mapperley Top in Nottingham to a huge and very succesful Group.
My role at Sytner Nottingham between 2000 - 2003 was Prep Manager and general dogs body. I drove Mr Sytner around quite a lot in this period in various Alpina and M models, I always found him very talkative and a true gentleman.
I have supplied him various personal cars since he moved to Monaco and again found him very easy going.
As for some of the above comments: Just remember there will always be things that pxxs us off as individuals and some things seem very minor to some but can be annoying to others.
I think we should all wish Frank a very speedy recovery and hopefully he will be on the track again driving with pure passion !!!
