Jaguar has released this fantastic shot of ride and handling chief Mike Cross getting the new Goodwood Special XKR sideways at the factory test track.
Try this at home - er, don't try this at home!
The striking and (currently!) unique Goodwood Special has been conceived by Jaguar 'to explore the harder side of XKR performance', and is
the car that Mike will be driving up the Goodwood hillclimb course this weekend
- with a lucky PistonHeads competition winner at his side.
Aside from the glaringly obvious lime-green paint job with racy XKR graphics, Jag's Goodwood Special features a lower ride height, 21ins alloys, and satin-graphite treatment to the brightwork, mirrors and bonnet vents.
What you can't see in the pic is the uprated 5.0 V8 supercharged motor with sports exhaust - but if you're lucky enough to be at Goodwood, you shouldn't be able to miss that either!
Interestingly, we understand this car is more than just a headline-grabber; Jaguar is seriously interested in public reaction to this unusually bold sporting treatment for the marque, and elements of the new look could potentially be made available to customers in future.
