The big news on Maserati’s stand this year is the unveil of its newly-updated GranTurismo MC Stradale. As we reported
last week
, the new Stradale now gets two rear seats, making it a little less of the stripped-out, track day special it once was. There is, however, now more power thanks to the 460hp 4.7-litre V8 that’s now standard across the rest of the GranTurismo range, which should go some way towards compensating for the extra weight. Also helping in that regard will be the new carbon-fibre bonnet and forged 20-inch alloy wheels. That said, still no word on how much the updated Stradale actually weighs, and whether it’s any more or less than the previous version. Nevertheless, the updated car will still be able to hit 188mph
Quattroporte goes for coolest wheels award
Also on Maserati’s stand is the new
Quattroporte
. It made its debut back at the Detroit Motor Show in January, but this is the first time it’s been shown at a European show, which makes it worth a mention. Currently only available with the same 4.7-litre V8 as the Granturismo, a range of smaller engines is also under consideration; four-wheel-drive will also be an option, which is a first for the model.
