Supercar Sunday is back. Just two weeks before
PistonFest
, Supercar Sunday will once again be held at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire. This year it coincides with Father's Day (Sunday 20th June) so a good excuse for all the dads to do what they want to do that day!
One of the attractions of the event is the Sporting Bears charity ride scheme. For a donation starting at £10, The Sporting Bears charity are offering dream rides at the show in a selection of cars including: Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini.
The Show opens at 10 a.m. Entry costs £8 for adults and £6 for children, under fives free. This includes entry to the world's largest collection of British historic vehicles and the Jaguar Racing Car exhibition. Outdoor activities for all the family include go-kart racing, children's roadway and 4x4 off-road rides. The Centre is situated in the Midlands, close to Junction 12 of the M40 between Warwick and Banbury.
Owners of supercars can display their vehicles at the Show and be eligible for the 'Supercar of the Year' competition; these drivers can receive free entry by contacting the event organiser before June 16 on 01926 645120 or e-mail events@heritage-motor-centre.co.uk
for an entry form.
As well as Vipers, Cobras and Jaguars, there are more exotic cars on show too, including a rare Swedish Koenigsegg CC8S, as seen on Top Gear TV. Owned by a dealer in High Wycombe, there are only three such cars in the UK, and cost approximately £400,000. The performance figures for this car are 0-60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 240 mph. Its 4.7 litre V8 supercharged engine produces 655 bhp!
