A podcast series can be the perfect accompaniment to a long drive, relieving you from the drudgery with a gripping story, intriguing facts or hilarious comedy. Those sorts of journeys aren't going to happen again for a little while, but there is still time to occupy. Lots of it, in some cases. So there's a new pod season to keep you entertained: The US LOT Sessions, made at Lotus.
Yep, a podcast straight outta Norfolk. Initially launched in 2019 to boost internal communications through a magazine, internal tv channel and intranet hub, US LOT is now branching out into a much wider broadcast. Described as a method "to keep in touch with performance car fans around the world" in these strange times, there are six episodes a series of the US LOT Sessions, with the first half dozen streaming on Tuesday and Thursdays over the next three weeks. Guests for the first round include Magnus Walker, Matt Farah and Ant Anstead, with the first guest being Lotus's esteemed test driver Gavan Kershaw (pictured). We're told a second is already in the works, too.
Each episode is hosted by Lotus Cars' PR Manager Rob Borrett - thoroughly nice bloke he is as well - whose idea it was to keep the Lotus discussion going with the factory on lockdown. He says each guest "has many fascinating stories to tell and it was an honour to hear them", so that certainly bodes well. The US LOT Sessions will be available from all the usual places you get pods from - iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and so on - with the Kershaw chat live now. We look forward to hearing more!
