He rules the road...and the world?
While the world’s press continues to froth at the mouth at the thought of the Stig being a real person, the BBC has quietly revealed the secret driver – or drivers’ – identity.
Obviously keen to nip the controversy surrounding The Stig’s unmasking in the bud the show has made a number of revelations via its internet blog. At exactly 11.55am yesterday we were shocked to learn that the ‘Tamed Racing Driver’ was none other than dead racing driver Graham Hill.
While many people have theorised that the Stig is in fact living driver Damon Hill, they had often discounted the likelihood of it being his dad on the technicality that he is no longer living. According to the Top Gear blog the racing driver had faked his own death in preparation for a TV show decades later.
After this shocking revelation PH was surprised to hear at 1.27pm that the Stig was actually none other than Sir Tom McKillop, the chairman of crisis-hit Royal Bank of Scotland, who has been moonlighting as the man in the white mask. When, at 3.02pm the show revealed that the Stig was none other than new US President Barack Obama we started to smell a rat.
It’s one thing being dead or the head of a large bank, but surely the US President would have enough on his plate not to be teaching two-bit celebrities how to drive…
See the jolly japes here...
