Mallory Park is the place for Motorsport
Mallory Park's now traditional 'Plum Pudding' races on Boxing Day
(Tuesday 26 December) will give motorsport enthusiasts an ideal excuse to
get out of the house over the Christmas holidays.
With races for both motorbikes and cars, this is the country's only
race meeting held at this time of year. There will be 12 races for solo
motorbikes including Formula 600, Sound of Thunder, 1300cc Open and
novices, together with the Plum Pudding Handicap and two sidecar races.
Formula Ford single seaters and GT Saloons each get two races to provide
the car racing action.
Proceedings will be brightened up by the competitor fancy dress award,
which has seen Father Christmas, Rudolf and various Fairies racing over
the last few years!
First race of the day will be at 10.30am, with practice from 9.30am.
Adult admission is £10, with no charge for accompanied children (under
16), parking or paddock transfer. Mallory Park is off the A47, between
Leicester and Hinckley.
