An engine swap is quite the task on its own. But when the donor engine is from a motorbike and the rolling shell is a Daihatsu Sirion to be used in Sprint rallies and road races, the task becomes a proper challenge.
Featured owner AndhiSatra from Indonesia is keen on keeping the exterior and interior looking as standard as possible, sleeper looks and a bonkers engine always a winning combo on our book. The major hurdles the OP and his team face are fitting the Hayabusa engine, installing a roll cage, adjustable camber plates and changing the little Sirion from a front-wheel drive set-up to a rear-wheel drive one. With very few people owning high capacity bikes, parts are hard to come by locally and when imported the team face paying a substantial premium thanks to Indonesia's luxury tax. This hasn't stopped them as they are manufacturing parts and chopping the little car to get it all fitted.
Congratulations AndhiSatra, your Daihatsu Sirion Hayabusa sprint car is our Reader's Car Of The Week. Read the build thread here.
