Following a successful series of tests at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground,
Donington Park, and Rockingham Motor Speedway, Radical Motorsport are all set to
launch their new Radical SR3 two-seater sportscar at the Autosport Show next
week.
The car boasts a 0-60mph time of 3 seconds, a massive 2g cornering force and
a fully integrated FIA-approved roll cage. Radical Motorsport have set out to
build a car that will be fun to drive, provide high levels of safety whilst
still remaining accessible with prices starting at £22,000 plut VAT.
Like the Westfield XTR2 that it goes head to head sport it can be supplied in
a road legal configuration aimed squarely at the track day market. They also
claim that in its full-race Supersport guise, the SR3 is an affordable stepping
stone to Le Mans!
With over 20 deposits already in the bag, and a new 25,000 sq. ft. production
facility at Peterborough, Radical could now expand from its racing car roots
into a highly successful extreme sportscar manufacturer.
