Aston need a service, but lockdown making it impossible? Flying Technician to the rescue!

Ingenuity often strikes in a time of crisis, and here's the latest example: the HWM Flying Technician service. And you thought it was just a Mercedes van with Aston Martin Racing stripes...

The Flying Technician is the brainchild of HWM Aston Martin - the only family owned Aston dealer in the UK - with the aim of keeping customer's cars tip-top during lockdown. Service centres will surely be jam-packed when we're allowed out on the road again; this should ensure cars are ship-shape and ready to go when the moment comes.

It's a garage on wheels, essentially; not only does the van have all the equipment a tech would require to work on an Aston, but also a toilet, kitchen, shower and work area. There's no need for customer and HWM worker to come into contact, a bonus for everyone at the moment; the service is booked online, and the car just needs to be open for the technician to gain access. Simple. And you'll get to check out the van from the safety of your own drive...

All Flying Technician services will get an authorised Aston stamp in the book, with the FT home visit adding £79 on top of the usual service cost. So if your DB11, Vantage, DBS, Rapide or any other Aston needs some lockdown love, you know who to speak to...
