The Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) has a fantastic day's racing set up for
the 21st September at Silverstone. The Event is called Racing Green - The
Boulogne and Hawthorn Trophies Race Meeting. This year the Club will be
honouring Lotus.
Apart from a wide variety of exciting races, there will be the traditional
Race Car Review, one make race and demonstrations featuring Lotus Cars. At least
ten races are planned for the day, with the possibility of one more; two of
which will be dedicated to Lotus cars.
The Club will formerly invite its own members and other MSA affiliated Lotus
Clubs to race in two of the ten races. A one-make race for Lotus Cars will be
over 10 laps for single-seat racing cars built on or before December 31 December
1965. The itinerary also includes GT and current Elise racing derivatives. The
Hawthorn International Trophy is run over 12 laps for Sports Racing Cars built
from 1946 to 1960.
The Racing Car Review will see a display of many Lotus', from the early
period there will be a Mk2, Mk3, Mk4 and trials Mk6, the first time such a
gathering has been seen. As with all VSCC meetings, the entry price for visitors
will include access to all areas, including the Racing car Review and Paddock.
The Event is now open to traders and autojumblers, who would like the
opportunity to meet thousands of enthusiasts, many of which, may be new to you;
along with those that attend the tradition classic & vintage cars shows.
