Who wants an Alfa Romeo Giulietta with a dashboard signed by Vin Diesel? Anyone? No? Oh. Well, Alfa Romeo’s making six of them, anyway.
The Giulietta FF6, to give the new limited edition its full name, has been announced to tie in with Alfa UK’s sponsorship of the new Fast & Furious 6 film. And only six will be produced, each with a numbered plaque that recalls one of the films in the franchise. With such low production numbers, and a name so heavily connected with big-boost modifications, huge wheels and excessive gearchanging, we can surely expect something a little bit special, right?
Giulietta FF6 gets plaque and signed dash
Erm... no, actually. Each Giulietta FF6 will get that numbered plaque, as well as a dashboard autographed by the whole cast and... um... that’s about it. Oh, here’s something – new owners will get the chance to attend a “once in a lifetime stunt day” with a gin-u-wine movie stunt coordinator. But modifications to make the car... ahem... faster and more furious... are lacking, with the standard 1.4-litre turbo still running 170hp, and any mention of tweaks to suspension, brakes or other undergubbins notable only by its absence.
Alfa's been rather keen on special editions lately. The comely new 4C is being prefaced with a 1,000-off Launch Edition before full production commences, for example, and then there was the Mito Quadrifoglio Verde SBK, released back in February, and another special edition based on a sponsorship tie-in. Priced at £25,675, this new FF6 will be the latest in that line, and will be available exclusively through Alfa's Marylebone dealership.
