So Peugeot's return to Pikes Peak resulted in a
fairly emphatic victory
. Usain Bolt shaving hundredths from his 100m time has nothing on Sebastien Loeb smashing the record at the world's most famous hillclimb by 92 seconds.

It's a motorsport milestone that needs celebrating, but the
208 T16
has already received plenty of attention on PH. So what about the car that inspired it, the car that took victory in 1988 and 1989 and starred in one of the greatest motorsport films ever?
The Peugeot 405 T16 may not be as fast as the 208, but it's on another level for cool. Being based on the 205 T16 was a great basis; add to that the evocative livery and ClimbDance and the result is a motorsport icon to rival a Rothmans 911 or an Alitalia Stratos.
You'll notice that the actual desktop image we've selected isn't the Goodwood one we've led with above; an office poll declared the latter the better for wallpaper duties but the link with next week's Festival of Speed and the news Loeb's car will be there had to be recognised too!
