Tuesday's
story about the 917's 40th anniversary you saw some lovely snaps of the classic Le Mans beastie, and we liked these pics so much that we've decided to give you all a nice big version of one of those shots for your desktops.
We hope you enjoy looking at this 917LH, decked proudly in its Martini Racing livery. It was driven at Le Mans in 1971 by Vic Elford and Kurt Ahrens, and managed to nab pole-position - only to have its engine fail after 225 laps.
