Will the Thorpedo be there?
As the 2005 season draws to a close and before the cars are tucked away in garages and the drivers get grumpy, TVR racers are gathering for one last special race.
On Sunday 23 October, an exciting mix of TVR racers will descend on Snetterton for two Open races. There will be a very wide variety of cars including:
- Tuscan Challenge cars
- Two-seater road-engined Tuscans
- Griffith 500
- Turbo Tasmins
- RV8 Tuscan
- 1960's Tuscan 4.5
The race is open to any race-legal TVR so, if you have one tucked in the garage, dust it down and get it on the track. For spectators its the last chance of the season to see a grid full of TVRs and the mix of speeds should be exciting and provide lots of action.
The day starts early with the first TVR Qualifying at 9:30 and the second qualifying at 11:40. The TVRs are the first race of the day at 13:30 and the second race is race number six in the day.
There is even a chance I might run Topless Taz in one of the Sports and Saloon races, after George Carter drives her in the TVR races.
Also racing on the Sunday are Formula Fords (1600 and 2000), Mazda Mx5s and Sports and Saloons. With everyone running double headers, this is a great opportunity to see plenty of action.
