With the next 911 RS still a way off in the distance, used 997 second-gen Rennsports remain hot property. Those in the PH Classifieds are all around £90,000 in a variety of wild colour/decal combinations.
Colour schemes not for the faint of heart
As with the base 997 GT3, the sheer ability of the RS will ensure values shouldn't fall drastically for a while. By not restricting buyers to just white as with the 996 RS, Porsche allowed a great deal more personalisation with colours on the 997 versions. The fact that all command a similar price indicates a GT3 is still about function rather than form.
Buy if: You want 85 per cent of the thrills offered by the 4.0 RS for half the price.
Don't buy if: Subtle performance is the aim; an RS will draw an attention unlike a regular 997 GT3.
