250 TR Recreation

Our customer’s brief was to make a recreation of the classic 1959 Testa Rossa, using modern mechanicals and keeping as close as possible to the spirit of the original car. The mechanicals are from a Ferrari 456, giving a 5.5litre V12 and a 6 speed trans axle as a base.

The chassis and suspension have been created in house in our mechanical department, and is as close as possible to the original specifications, allowing for the extra size of the more modern mechanicals.

The EFI induction system has been redesigned and created in our engineering department to replicate the look of the original six-carburetor set up. The V12 engine, which is producing close to 500 bhp, provides very brisk performance.

Since being finished it has been enjoyed by its creator in the spirt of Ferrari, driving it fast and to its full potential. It's now with regret that its current owner has decided for health reasons to let someone else enjoy this car.

Road register for use in NZ this car is not only stunning to look at but performs amazingly.
