2003 Vauxhall

It is with great regret that my Silver VX220 is up for sale, unfortunately my partner needs my run around car for work and I need something more usable. Our driveway doesn’t accommodate three cars!

I looked at a lot of these cars before I decided on this particular one, well looked after examples with full history are becoming harder to come by and this one is definitely one of the good ones. There are absolutely no knocks or rattles and feels very tight. There is absolutely stacks of history with every service completed to schedule and on time. Money has been spent wherever needed and all inspections of the car and paperwork are more than welcome. The car is kept out of the rain and driven maybe once a week.

Condition wise the paintwork in excellent condition for the age and mileage, there are of course the usual stone chips which is inherent with the VX220. The car is always washed with the best cleaning products and gets waxed at least once a month with Dodo Juice carnuba wax. I’ve never taken it out in the wet and a quick peek under the car reflects this. The wheels have recently been powder coated in black and subsequently do not have a mark on them, they are spotless. All four tyres are the recommended Bridgestone RE040s with three quarters tread all round. The interior benefits from full carpets and the drivers seat has had memory foam inserted to make the drive a lot more comfortable (my bad back), these bits really do make a difference! The interior has the usual wear and tear consistent with age and mileage. I have both original keys and alarm fobs.

It’s due an MOT and medium service in April, I’m happy to do this for the new owner, or if you want to do it yourself I’m happy to knock money off. It sailed through its last MOT. It is also worth mentioning that VX220s have been climbing in price for the last year and showing no sign of slowing, looked after cars are an investment.

The car is on a 2003 plate and on 64500 miles, It has had three previous owners.

I have added a few tasteful upgrades:

- Front ‘V’ Plastidipped black along with front grill

- MMG carbon fibre rear stone guards

- Wheels freshly powder coated black

- Sony headunit and new speakers to replace pitiful standard ones!

- Leon Cupra R front splitter

Of course all cars have their bad bits:

- Discs and rear pads need replacing, I have a brand new set of discs and pads which I will give to the new owner.

- The heater currently only blows hot, the heaters are notoriously bad on these cars. An easy fix it just requires a cable to be connected under the bonnet. It hasn't bothered me. The blower control itself works fine.

- There is a small triangular piece of trim missing on the interior on the inside of the driver’s side mirror. You could pick one up online quite cheap, I have just never got round to replacing it as it’s never bothered me!
