Mazda MX5 Sport Recaro, BBR Super 200

One owner from new, low mileage BBR Super 200 MX5 Sport Recaro. The car was purchased new from Romford Mazda and delivered new direct to BBR GTi for their naturally aspirated S200 conversion. The car has been used for road touring only and has been garaged for approx 50% of it’s life. BBR’s conversion has proved 100% reliable with zero issues throughout full ownership. The most reliable car we have ever owned by a country mile. Original invoices are available for all BBR works listed as below:

Key components to the engine kit are a cold intake system, 4-1 manifold, high performance intake and exhaust camshafts and upgraded valve springs. The car has not been on a rolling road but BBR estimate power (inc exhaust) at c214bhp and 183lb.ft of torque. The conversion provides for a sweet blend of low down torque and high end power at the 7,150 red line.

With the exception of the last service (carried out locally) all servicing has been completed by Oakmere Mazda in Northwich, annually in line with Mazda recommendations. The most recent service was March’24 and MOT’d until March’26. Front discs and pads were replaced Nov’22 and are showing little wear.

Tyres are Michelin PS4’s rear (part worn) and Michelin PS5’s front (little wear).

Note the car is set up for road use, spring rate, dampers and ARB’s all working well on the road without any bottoming out in day to day driving, the car is only very slightly lowered.

Enthusiast owned and always driven sympathetically.

Bodywork & roof all in excellent condition as is the interior, the two worst point are some minor corrosion to one wheel (not curbed) and slight scuff to the drivers seat bolster, other than this the car is pretty much unmarked.
