For sale, is this 1991 MK2 Volkswagen Golf GTI 1.8 16v big bumper model, 5 speed manual, 3 door hatch, mileage is 166,328 miles, this has been as a restoration project, as youll see loads have been done, there is a huge booklet of service paperwork, from everything being done to this car, its been sat a while, when it was picked up a lot of work was required not just cosmetically but also mechanically. Lots of money has been spent as you can see, full re-spray in the original grey on the exterior of the car and on the edges inside, door sills, rear boot sill lower front bumper and rear full body done, had a new MOT recently other month, passed with a few advisories, they have now been done and the car is great, its had a full recent service with oil, oil filter, air filter, brake discs, pads and bearings, fluid levels, brake fluid, coolant, new wiper blades, handbrakes, new battery, exhaust claim fitted to secure, new sunroof seal (no leaks), brand new tyres, seats have been refitted and many more has been done to this car. Some light modifications has been done to this car, nothing too extreme, its had a sport exhaust fitted, brand new Autostar Minus 15 golf and silver chrome alloys fitted perfectly with brand new 195 45 15 Toyo Proxes TR-1 Track tyres, new leather gear leather and new gti gear knob, aftermarket Hella style front light covers, its already had aftermarket lowering springs fitted before I got the car, new gti floor mats, central locking system and car tracker is fitted on the car, Gti aftermarket mud flaps and loads more again to list. In general the car is really clean, loads of these cars are listed as clean however this one really is, the inside is fully cleaned, theres no sign of water leaks, damage or any corrosion or rust/rot, even the door sills, rear boot and under is clean, also the front engine bay and front covers are extremely clean. The underbody of the car has the tiniest wear and age marks just coming through now as it would with the cars age. The cars also had a full stage ceramic polish with aftercare on for the paint, making it clean with no swirls or marks after it was re sprayed. As this was a restoration, there is the little things need doing below. which are: , -It is needing a new roof lining as I have taken the old in off and was going to get new black and red lining, this isnt much of a hard job if you would know these cars, the sponge and roof itself have no problems just the lining. -Front drivers seat has wear on the side top side and lower side of the seat, apart from that all the other seats are great. The lowering springs could do with being taken off and re adjusting as they are lowered as you will see in the pictures, they are old and could do with cleaning and re-fitting, or even a new set of these could do, which arent too much to buy. Parcel shelf had old subs fitted which havent re purchased another, so just needs another. There could be some other minor things that have missed, however what you will see in the pictures and in person, you will understand and know the main parts have been down and now just needing the little parts to finish this beauty.
