1982 MERCEDES-BENZ 500

A rare and desirable early B Series Chassis, the most powerful and best built of this model that has covered just 60,000km or 38,000 miles from new. It remains in superb original condition in all respects with fantastic detail, witness the as new interior, completely clear unfogged lights and untarnished trim. Indeed, the Mercedes specialist who is well acquainted with this model was very impressed with factory finish in all respects and original factory wax on show in the engine bay and underside. In his words it had clearly never been exposed to winter roads.

Supplied when new to the home German market the car ended up in a large Japanese collection before finding its way to the UK having been purchased as the best of its type by the well-known Danz Benz collection, featuring only the finest Mercedes examples.

Following my purchase of the car it was fully evaluated by the above mentioned Mercedes Engineer with any fault being rectified as detailed in the invoice on file. Everything works as it should from the air conditioning to the original Becker stereo and electric rear blind. On the road the car performs superbly as befitting of this legendary model with a tightness shown only by a sorted low mileage example.
